Weekly Update - 9/19/21
Thank you for your continued assistance in our traffic patterns each day...please continue to not block Fayetteville or Hamby streets by parking on these roadways at afternoon carpool.
Students did a great job with pictures on Friday...the date for makeup pictures will be announced in the coming weeks.
Don’t forget to sign up for the CHS PTSA. Membership is $10 and can be done online (the link is on the CHS website). The largest fundraiser for the PTSA is the annual CHS PowderPuff game which will be held on Tuesday, October 5th. The cost to play is $10 and includes your t-shirt. Registration is first come, first served and has been extended to Tuesday, September 21st to allow for the rosters to reach their maximum. Registration forms and payment can be made in the front office.
Seniors are having their individual meetings with counselors by appointments...all seniors need to make sure they report when scheduled. Also, the Herff Jones representative will meet with seniors on Tuesday morning in 3 different group sessions to share information regarding all of the graduation supplies.
Next, I would like to remind all students that this Friday, September 24th is designated as an early release day. The condensed schedule will have 5th block ending at 11:40 with lunch following afterwards for those that are eating from the cafeteria. Students may be dismissed after their last scheduled class and all students will depart from campus at 12:05.
Finally, as we have settled into the semester, I encourage all students to stay up-to-date in their school assignments. Grades are updated weekly in PowerSchool and I recommend parents to utilize the parent portal for updates. If there are questions, students and parents should contact the individual teacher first.
Sign up information for the CHS Evening Academy will begin on Monday, September 20th. This is a time where students will be able to receive additional academic support if needed after regular school hours.
