Weekly Update - 4/18/2021

This is Bennett Jones, principal of Clayton High School with the weekly update for the upcoming week, April 19th - 23rd, 2021.

First, I want to thank all of our students and parents for their cooperation last week as we moved to Plan A. Our students did a great job in following the safety protocols. It was great to see more of our Comets back in the hallways. I also want to commend all of the virtual students who have continued to login to live sessions and complete assignments. There are only 5 more weeks remaining before exams so it is important for all students to work hard in order to finish strong.

Next, I want to announce that our CHS parade that was postponed has been rescheduled for May 20th at 6:00 PM. We will push out further information and details as we approach the date.

Seniors and their parents are reminded to complete their graduation survey. We will be pushing out information regarding ticket processes in the next week. Also, prom tickets are available to be purchased -- seniors should follow the information that has been posted in emails and online and should make sure they are signed up for the Senior Remind group.

Finally, I want to encourage any of our Comets who are able to do so to help us in our fundraising efforts to improve our school. I will be taking part in a Town of Clayton event on Saturday, April 24th to raise money in honor of the CHS Class of 2021. Please see our website and information from the Town of Clayton to help out if you are able to do so.

Thank you as always for your continued support and for being Comets ALL IN, have a good evening and a great week!
