JC BOE and JCPS Senior Staff tour Thanksgiving Elementary site

Johnston County Board of Education members and JCPS Senior Staff toured the Thanksgiving Elementary site Tuesday, March 9 to see the construction progression.

The school is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2021. It will serve families in the Thanksgiving community once construction is complete.

The new construction should alleviate overcrowding at elementary schools in the north eastern portion of Johnston County. It will be the district’s 24th elementary school.

The school is one of the 2018 bond referendum projects. More information about all of the 2018 bond projects can be found on the district’s website.
