Sitting at the northern point of Johnston County lies a magical place. It isnโt the tobacco farms or the strawberry fields that create that feeling of wonder and amazement.ย Itโs the media center at Corinth-Holders Elementary School (CHES), specifically, Media Specialist Melissa Waring. Voted by her peers, she was recently named Johnston County Public Schools (JCPS) 2022 Media Specialist of the Year.ย

Cleveland High graduate sets the bar high for his future
Kyzaiah Stone has a presence that fills whatever space he occupies. Standing 6 ft. 1 in. with brightly colored hair and a nose ring, heโs hard to miss.ย The Cleveland High graduate will attend North Carolina State University in the fall of 2022 on a full track and field scholarship. He set the state high jump record of 7 ft. 1 in. at the 2022 4A state winter track meet.
