    Our Battle of the Books competition was held in March! Students worked hard to read from a list of 15 books! They competed against 18 other teams!

  • New Bus Rider Canopy

    A new and much needed addition was made recently to our bus rider entrance! A canopy was installed to help keep our students dry as they enter and exit the building! This is also great news for our Preschool families!

  • Read Across America 2022

    Read Across America Week was a success! We celebrated reading each day with various dress up days, took a road trip around the USA as we listened to stories, took part in STEM activities during library class and the book fairy left books all throughout the week! Her goal next year is to have a book for every student to find!

  • Collaborative School Artists Illustrate Posters

    Students read the story about Keith Haring in art classes and collaborated together to create posters with motivational quotes on them to display throughout the school.

  • PTA Performance and Art Show

    K-5 students rocked the town of Micro at our December PTA meeting! Students preformed a medley of songs organized by our music teacher, Mr. Sevigny. Third - fifth grade students had artwork featured in our school cafeteria which was organized by our art teacher Mrs. Sills.

  • Micro Super Spellers!

    Check out Micro Elementary's Super Spellers! These three students are our top three spellers! 1st - Cole C. 2nd - Charlie E. 3rd - Lanah E. Cole will be going against the top spellers from the other elementary schools in our district! Way to go guys!

  • October Employee of the Month

    Congratulations to our employee of the month, Mrs. Vanessa Watson. Mrs. Watson is serving as our media coordinator while Mrs. Warren is out on maternity leave. Mrs. Watson was chosen by our Sunshine Committee for her positive contribution to our school. Mrs. Watson goes the extra mile for our staff and students. Thank you for all that you do!

  • Employee of the Month

    Congratulations to our most recent employee of the month! Mrs. Howlett is our new ESL teacher. She was selected to be our August employee of the month by a committee of her peers. She has been doing an outstanding job and we are lucky to have her. Thank you for serving in the Web!

  • Writers of Tomorrow

    Ms. Hawley's class took a trip in learning about publishing a book with the help of inspiration from Mr. Danny Williams. Mr. Williams challenged them to create their own ending to a cliff hanger tale he shared with the class through a Google Meet. Students had to plan, write, revise and illustrate their stories and submit to Student Treasures for publication. The students worked so hard to accomplish this challenging task and we are so proud of them!

  • Donation from MIcro High School Reunion Committee

    Larry Batten (Cindy Creech's dad), Edna Blevins, and Annelle Smith Beasley stopped by our school to make a $750 donation. There donation was on behalf of the Micro High School Reunion Committee. The funds are to be used to enhance the classroom experience for our students.

  • Future Paleontologists!

    Students in Mrs. Meeker and Mrs. White's kindergarten class are learning about dinosaurs and fossils! For an at home activity, students were given chocolate chip cookies to dig out the "fossils!"

  • Micro's Super Spellers

    We had an excellent 4th and 5th grade spelling bee last week. Participants had fun, were positive, and showed great sportsmanship. Congratulations to Friday's Spelling Bee Top Finishers! Jaz'myne-1st Place Summer-2nd Place Kendrah-3rd Place Jaz'myne will represent Micro in the county wide spelling bee in January. Way to go!
