NJHS Band Visits 5th Grade
The NJHS band visited our 5th graders to demonstrate their musical talents and discuss questions any of our students had about joining the band when they get to middle school!

Marching into Success
Families enjoyed our Marching into Success night which featured lots of fun and information! Parents visited classrooms to learn strategies to help support their children and students took part in activities and snacks in the cafeteria!

PreK students have been learning all about community helpers recently. They took an in house field trip to our cafeteria to learn all about the process of cooking for a large amount of people.

Leading with the Heart
A big congratulations to Ms. Arlene! She is this years Leading with the Heart recipient for Micro Elementary School. Ms. Arlene was chosen by her peers because of her willingness to always help and the fact that she takes great pride in her work. We appreciate you so much Ms. Arlene!

Polar Express Day
To kick off our winter break, we transformed our cafeteria into the Polar Express! Students gathered together in pajamas, sang holiday songs, received their ticket from the conductor and even had hot chocolate! This is a tradition that we thoroughly enjoy each year!

Project Pumpkin
Students have embarked on a year long pumpkin project! We will watch the decomposition of a pumpkin over the course of a year. We will learn and be able to see first hand the life cycle of a pumpkin!

New Bus Rider Canopy
A new and much needed addition was made recently to our bus rider entrance! A canopy was installed to help keep our students dry as they enter and exit the building! This is also great news for our Preschool families!

Read Across America 2022
Read Across America Week was a success! We celebrated reading each day with various dress up days, took a road trip around the USA as we listened to stories, took part in STEM activities during library class and the book fairy left books all throughout the week! Her goal next year is to have a book for every student to find!

Collaborative School Artists Illustrate Posters
Students read the story about Keith Haring in art classes and collaborated together to create posters with motivational quotes on them to display throughout the school.
