  • Leading with the Heart

    This year’s Leading with the Heart recipient is Misty Barrett. She is so patient and diligent when working with her students. She truly has a gift and she uses it to reach each of her students. She cares so much about the children and what is best for them. She pushes them to do their best. She let's these children know they are loved.

  • FOMS 1st Year Teacher of the Year

    Tanner Adams was selected to represent Four Oaks Middle School as Outstanding First Year Teacher of the Year because of the enthusiasm and positive attitude he brings to the educational setting every single day. He has a genuine desire to help each and every student be successful, not only in his classroom, but also to succeed in life beyond the classroom walls. This enthusiasm and positive attitude is not only extended to students, but with his colleagues as well. As a former Four Oaks Middle School student himself, Mr. Adams has a vested interest in seeing the school and students succeed. All these things combined are reasons Mr. Tanner Adams is Four Oaks Middle School’s nominee for Outstanding First Year Teacher of the Year.

  • Baby Pictures for Yearbook

    Deadline for submitting 8th grade student baby pictures for the yearbook is Febrary 20, 2020. Please send your pictures to Mrs. Angie Autry on the 6th grade hall. Pictures will be scanned and returned to you. You may also submit the photos electronically by emailing them to angelaautry@johnston.k12.nc.us before the deadline.

  • FOMS enjoyed celebrating veterans at the annual Veterans' Day Ceremony

    Colonel Rudy Baker, Retired Air Force, spoke to students about the importance of Veterans' Day. He also reminded students to always thank those that have served our country by telling them to "Thank a Veteran today."

  • Chicken Coops for Agriculture

    Ms. Terri Sessoms visits FOMS and gets a lesson from a couple of agricultural science students about our chicken coops. The coops were built and hens were raised by ag students and FFA members. This project was funded by grants written by ag teacher Victoria Gwaltney.
