  • Book Tasting Event in Media Center

Sixth grade students recently learned about a variety of genres during their weekly media center visits with their ELA classes. Mrs. Wamble surprised them the week of Valentine's Day with a Book Tasting event. Students were greeted by their hostess (Mrs. Wamble decked out in apron and all), and were each seated with "menus". Each table was piled with books from various genres and students were able to "sample" three different genres. They began with an appetizer, moved to an entree', and finished with dessert. Students used the menus to complete certain questions about each book they chose to sample. Students were intrigued and engaged, and many checked out the books they sampled. Success!
