The sole purpose of the Johnston County Public Schools' Fire Science Program is to graduate men and women who possess the certifications and degree to be employable and promotable within the ranks of the Fire Service upon completion of the program. This program is a partnership between Johnston County Public Schools, Johnston Community College, The Office of The State Fire Marshal, and the professional men and women of the Johnston County Fire Service.

APPLICATION FOR FIRE ACADEMY

This pathway consists of the following CTE DPI courses taught by the Johnston County Public Schools fire instructor and EMT instructor:

• Fire Technology One 

• Fire Technology Two

• Fire Technology Three

• EMT

These courses allow the student to be employable as a paid firefighter./EMT
