JCPS Board Policy 4120: A student may be excused for the following reason: the participation in a valid educational opportunity, such as travel or service as a legislative or Governor's page, with prior approval from the Principal. The excused absences shall be limited to five (5) school days per year, unless extended by the Principal upon a showing of extraordinary circumstances.

Parents must fill out the attached form and return it to the principal for approval.
