Melissa Edgerton

Mrs. Melissa Edgerton, Principal

Hello Princeton Elementary Families,

I am thrilled to be part of the amazing team serving the Princeton community. I began my teaching career in 1999 at Micro Pine Level Elementary. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of teaching roles at Micro Pine Level and Northwest Elementary. In 2021, I became the Assistant Principal at Meadow Lane Elementary and transitioned to Principal in 2024. Joining Princeton Elementary marks the beginning of my next great adventure.

My husband, Danny, and I are proud parents of three sons, and we have one incredible granddaughter. When I am not at school or spending time with my family, I enjoy kayaking with friends and refinishing furniture.

This will be my first full year as a Bulldog, and I could not be more excited. Our school has an amazing team of teachers and a long history of excellence. I am passionate about working alongside our staff to create the very best learning environment for our students. I look forward to a wonderful year of "Rocking and Rolling into Excellence!"

Mrs. Chaundler Vaughn, Assistant Principal

My name is Mrs. Chaundler Vaughn. It is my pleasure to be a part of Princeton Elementary School as the Assistant Principal. I have been in education for almost 30 years. I started my career as a Teacher Assistant in 1997. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2007, my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2013, and my Administrative License in 2017.

Throughout these years, I have worked in kindergarten, second and fourth. I am originally from Pinehurst, North Carolina but started traveling around the world when I was in the second grade due to my father being in the military. While we were stationed in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, I met my husband. My husband’s name is Keith Vaughn. We have been married 38 years. He is retired military. We have one son named Keith Carl Vaughn II, whom we call KC. I have three grandchildren, Cameron, Aaliyah, and Kingston. They live in Douglasville, Georgia. I am known as “Ginni” to them. I love being a grandmother. I love family, and they are everything to me.

When I am not at work, I love spending time with my husband, traveling, and reading. I attend Princeton Church of God and love my family there as well.

I look forward to another great year with the Princeton Elementary family and working with you this upcoming school year.
