Academic Goal For JCPS

By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, 100% of Johnston County Public Schools will earn a school letter grade of A, B, or C.

Polenta Elementary School Improvement Plan

Goal 1:By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, Polenta will increase composite proficiency by 5 percentage points from 61% to 66% measured by the EOG reading, math, and science scores for grades 3-5. (A 4.01,B3.03, E1.06)

-Reading: 56.6% to 61.6%

-Math: 62.3% to 67.3%

-Science: 70.2% to 75.2%

 

Goal 2: By June 2025, Polenta Elementary school will increase overall proficiency for students in the SWD subgroup by 5 percentage points from 19.2% to 24.2%. (NCStar Indicators: A 4.01, B3.03, D1.02 and E1.06).

Goal 3:   By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, a 100% of our grade levels will have a quarterly increase of Pawsitive paw prints by upholding high expectations.(A4.06, E1.06)

 

NCStar is a web-based tool that guides a district or school team in charting its improvement and managing the continuous improvement process. NCStar builds accountability as well as helps schools track their improvement plans.
