Pine Level Elementary will continue to use the student ID scan cards. This is a web-based application that will let you see what school bus your child scanned onto as well as when your child scanned to enter and exit the school bus.
Johnston County Public Schools has teamed up with Education Logistics, Inc. (Edulog) to offer this new technology. It is completely free. Edulog is the same company that supplies our school district with bus routing technology and the Edulog Parent Portal.
How it works is simple! Visit Edulog Parent Portal in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store to set up your account – it’s quick and easy. All you need is your student’s ID number, date of birth, school name, and first and last name to get signed up.
Once you are registered or if you are already registered, activate the scan notifications by:
Going to the settings in the app
Select notification setting
Then click scan notifications
The instructions are simple, but if you need help, a video is provided below:
What will the student ID scans tell you?
The bus number your child entered and exited
Real-time view of when your child scanned to get on and off the bus.
Real-time view of the current location of the bus
The scheduled pick up and drop off times for your child’s bus stop
Notifications of when the bus has reached its final destination (the school in the morning and your bus stop in the afternoon)
We are very excited to offer this technology and hope you will find it beneficial as we try to provide every parent with piece of mind by knowing when your child got on and off the school bus..
