Administration

Katherine Schott

Mrs. Schott, Principal

I grew up in rural Central New York State, and moved to NC in 2005.  I come from a large family and love the country.  My husband and I have 2 boys that are also Meadow Indians. In my spare but rare time,  I love reading books, baking, going on hikes, and camping.

I have worked in education for 21 years. I have taught preschool, fourth grade, and fifth grade before coming to Meadow where I have served as an Assistant Principal for nine years. I am thrilled to now serve Meadow as Principal. Meadow School is my second home, and I am excited to see the future successes we will achieve together.

I feel strongly that it takes a village to raise a child.  Everyone here at Meadow has the children's' best interests at heart.  We hope to work with our families to raise intelligent, responsible, hardworking, and caring individuals. We are better together!

Dr. Tanya Wynn

Dr. Wynn, Assistant Principal

Hello Meadow School Family and Friends,

In 2007, I earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Mount Olive. I continued my studies and earned a Masters in Curriculum Instruction and a Masters in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix in 2011. Driven by a passion for learning and leadership, I enrolled at Gardner-Webb University where I earned a Ed S., Superintendent license, as well as a Doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2017.

I have had the privilege of serving in Wayne County for 14 years, Duplin County for 8 years, and most recently, here in Johnston County for the past 2 years. Each of these experiences has deepened my belief in the power of collaboration, communication, community engagement and personal relationships. At Meadow School, I will strive to be a visible and supportive presence for students, staff, and families. I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a thriving school, and I want you to know that my door is always open. Whether you have a question, a concern, or simply want to say hello, I welcome the opportunity to connect with you.
