Athletics Eligibility Requirements

• Must have been promoted from the previous grade.

• Must not be 15 before August 31, 2025.

• Must have a current sports physical signed by a doctor before the first day of tryouts.

• Must have fully completed all Final Forms and uploaded the physical.

• Must attend all three days of tryouts to be considered for the team.

Academics Eligibility

Students are required to pass at least 70% of the courses (five out of six courses) taken in the preceding semester and make sufficient progress towards meeting the academic and curricular requirements of JCPS and the State Board of Education to be promoted to the next grade level. 

Attendance Eligibility

Students must have attended at least 85% of the total number of instructional days during the previous semester. 

• JCPS Fall (78 days) - Can miss no more than 11 days, 8/25-12/19. This will be for student-athletes to continue through winter sports and be eligible for spring sports 2026.

• JCPS Spring (92 days) - Can miss no more than 13 days. This will be for student-athletes to be eligible for the 2026-27 fall season.
