Hello ECES Explorers!
I’m Tiffany Long, and I am truly honored to serve as your principal. I look forward to getting to know each of you, building strong relationships, and working together to support the success of every student at East Clayton Elementary.
I am a dedicated educator with 10 years of experience serving students and schools. I hold a Bachelor degree in English, a Master degree in Education, and a Master degree in School Administration, and I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at North Carolina State University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher and a NC Principal Fellow.
Throughout my career, I have served in multiple roles including teacher, testing coordinator, assistant principal of instruction, and school improvement team member. These experiences have allowed me to support students and staff through professional development, academic interventions, and a focus on growth and achievement.
I am deeply passionate about education and committed to being a visible leader who values open communication, collaboration, and strong relationships. I believe that when we work together and stay connected, we create the best possible learning environment for students and staff. I am passionate about creating a positive school culture where students feel supported, staff feel valued, and learning is at the center of everything we do.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and toddler. I am so excited for the upcoming school year!
