I grew up in Chesterfield, VA and have been in North Carolina since August of 2000.  I am happily married to an awesome wife, and I have a son who will be studying Engineering/Biomechanics in College.  I am a coffee lover, and I am always looking out for a different or better coffee to try.  I enjoy hanging out with my family and enjoy movies, reading, working out, and enjoying life.  If I can have great food, great coffee, and great fellowship, this would be my “happy place." I taught Health & PE, Weight Training, and Leadership classes prior to becoming an Assistant Principal. In 2022, I came to CHHS and I have enjoyed every minute being here.  I am looking forward to another great year as a Pirate.

I graduated from Longwood College (now University) in 1996 with a B.S. in Teaching Physical Education with a Concentration in Exercise and Health Science.  In 2002, I became a substitute teacher and assistant wrestling coach and then was hired full time teacher and Head Wrestling Coach in 2004.  I was the Head Wrestling Coach for nine years.  In 2005, I obtained my Masters in teaching Health & Physical Education K-12 from Campbell University and later completed a Post-Master's Certificate in School Administration from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2021.

I began my educational career in 2011 after graduating from NC State with a Masters in Teaching. My first teaching job was at Glendale-Kenly Elementary for 10 years, teaching Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th & 5th grades as well as a year of Curriculum Coaching. I then went back to NC State and earned a Masters in School Administration as part of the NELA Principal Fellows program. Graduating in 2022, my internship year was here at CHHS. I then served as an Assistant Principal at Bunn Middle School for the 22-23 school year; returned to CHHS the following year and have been here ever since! 

Originally from Illinois, we moved to Clayton in 1995, then to Kenly in 2014 where I live with my awesome husband of 38 years on a small livestock farm. My 2 daughters and their families also live on the land and I enjoy being able to see my 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild every day. Days are filled with caring for the livestock, gardening, and being a Worship Pastor at my church. I absolutely love being a part of Pirate Nation where my mission is to build relationships and lead students to find their passion.

I am excited to begin my second year as Assistant Principal at Corinth Holders High School, a place I’m proud to call home. A graduate of NC State University (Go Pack!) and a lifelong Johnston County native, I began my teaching career in 2008 and completed my Executive Leadership Studies in School Administration at Gardner-Webb University in 2023.

I am passionate about learning, teaching, and investing in the future—our students. As a product of Johnston County Schools, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the CHHS community and look forward to a wonderful year.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, working in my yard, attending church, cheering on my favorite teams, and tackling DIY projects.

I am Dr. Andres Restrepo. This will be year 15 in education. I completed my bachelor's in Modern Languages, Master's in ESL, Master's in School Administration and Doctorate in Education; I am forever a learner and EDUCATION is my lifestyle!

High school was my safe place where I dreamed of where and what I wanted to be. I knew that I was born to serve in schools, and I feel blessed to be living my dream every day.

Soy el Dr. Andres Restrepo. He estado en la educación por 15 años. Hice mi pregrado en Lenguas Modernas, tengo una maestría en ESL y en administración escolar. También tengo un doctorado en educación. Siempre estaré aprendiendo porque la educación es mi estilo de vida.

La secundaria fue el lugar donde me sentía seguro y donde soñé lo que quería hacer y donde quería estar. Quiero aportar a que esta escuela sea también su sueño y donde alcance su más grande potencial.
