Welcome to Corinth-Holders Elementary School!
My name is Michelle Butler, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Corinth-Holders Elementary School. As I begin my third year as principal of CHES, I’m reminded of how far this journey has taken me. I began my administrative career right here—first as a principal intern, then as assistant principal—before stepping into the role of principal. It’s been an incredible experience to grow alongside this amazing school community, and I’m grateful for the continued support of our staff, families, and students. Helping children succeed is my true passion, and I come to school each day excited to partner with families, staff, and students as our Pirates soar to new heights. CHES truly is the best school in Johnston County, and I’m proud to be a part of it.
I grew up in Florida and am married to a retired Wake County Schools principal. We have two wonderful daughters—one currently attending East Carolina University and the other a student at Corinth Holders High School. In my spare (but rare!) time, I enjoy reading, relaxing at the beach, and spending quality time with my family.
With over 25 years of experience in education, I’ve had the privilege of teaching third and fourth grades and serving in leadership roles as an Assistant Principal at Corinth-Holders Elementary, Instructional Resource Teacher at North Johnston Middle School and as a Teaching and Learning Coach at Corinth Holders High School.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida and a Master of School Administration from NC State University, where I was honored to be part of the Johnston Principal Leadership Academy. Go Pack! My certifications include Elementary Education (K–6), Academically Gifted (K–12) and Masters of School Administration.
I look forward to another great year at CHES and can’t wait to see all that our amazing students will accomplish. CHES is the BEST- Go, Pirates!
