WELCOME TO 4TH GRADE!

Hello,

My name is Mrs. Jones and this is my second year teaching 4th grade at East Clayton Elementary. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2020 with a degree in Elementary Education (GO PIRATES!) When I am not teaching, I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, shopping, and spending time at the beach. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!

School Announcements

  • ACCESS Testing for English Language Learners

North Carolina schools are required to administer ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 to all students identified as English Learners (ELs) in the spring of each year to determine their progress in learning English. Each student is tested in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. This assessment helps us monitor their English language development.

JCPS Announcements

  • Updated COVID-19 Quarantine Guidance

There have been significant changes to the Strong Schools NC toolkit that affects the quarantine procedures our staff and students must follow if they are exposed to a positive case of COVID-19. Any student or staff member who is currently quarantined due to an exposure of a positive COVID-19 case may return to school or work tomorrow, unless the close contact is a housemate. We are able to make this adjustment because our district requires masks for all students, staff, and guests.
