Mrs. Meredith Clawson

Hello Friendly Frogs!

My name is Meredith Clawson and I will be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year. This will be my 20th year teaching, all of which have been at Cooper. I graduated from UNCW in 1999 with a BA in Elementary Education and obtained my master's degree from Campbell University in 2005. I have taught first grade, second grade, and this will be my 6th year teaching Kindergarten. I am married to Rusty Clawson, who is the Street Supervisor for the Town of Clayton. We have 2 children, Ally (15) who will be a sophomore at Clayton High School this year and Colby (13) who will be in 8th grade at Riverwood Middle, both of which attended Cooper. My kids keep me busy with horseback riding and soccer. We love to spend our summers at the beach and pool. Teaching has always been my passion and first love and I cannot wait to meet your precious kids in August. This year is going to be awesome and your child will be in great hands each day! We are going to have a fabulous time leaping into learning at Cooper Academy! My door is always open and I welcome any questions or concerns that you may have!
