B.S. Agriculture Education, UMO 2020

Mr. James Johnson

I am a 2016 graduate of North Johnston High School, a 2020 graduate of the University of Mount Olive with a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Education. While in college, I served my as an Ambassador for the University of Mount Olive School of Agriculture and Biological Science as well as a Teach Ag Ambassador for the State of North Carolina. Serving in this capacity allowed me to travel our great state of North Carolina and see first hand the diversity of agriculture in our state.

I began teaching at NJHS in February of 2020. I enjoy being outside of the classroom and have a strong appreciation for hands on learning. I offer various courses including: Agriscience Applications, Agricultural Mechanics I, Agricultural Mechanics II, and Agricultural Mechanics II- Small Engines.

I am also one of the three FFA advisors here at NJHS. We have roughly 120-170 members each year.  I love teaching agriculture because I get to share my passion for agriculture and the importance of agriculture with our students. Through the FFA, I have the opprotunity to watch students grow and develop their own love and passion for agriculture.

Please feel free to follow our NJHS FFA Chapter on twitter or instagram for updates and information - twitter @NoJoFFA  instagram NoJoFFA_  (the instagram has an underscore at the end of the name)
