Mr. James Johnson

I am a 2016 graduate of North Johnston High School, a 2020 graduate of the University of Mount Olive with a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Education. I began teaching at NJHS in February of 2020. I enjoy being outside of the classroom and have a strong appreciation for hands-on learning. I offer various courses including: Agriscience Applications, Agricultural Mechanics I, Agricultural Mechanics II, and Agricultural Mechanics II- Small Engines.

I am also one of the three FFA advisors here at NJHS. We have roughly 150-200 members each year. I love teaching agriculture because I get to share my passion for agriculture and the importance of agriculture with our students. Through the FFA, I have the opportunity to watch students grow and develop their own love and passion for agriculture.

Johnston County Public Schools will hold it's annual Trades & Classified Job Fair on Saturday, June 24. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Smithfield-Selma High School, 700 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy, Smithfield, NC 27577.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
