  • North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) in the Lighting Our Way Forward: North Carolina’s Guidebook for Reopening Public Schools provides information and guidance for opening in Plan A, B, or C. NCDPI has also provided a summary of the Guidebook that highlights important information in the document. This document highlights specific guidance on sanitation protocols, face coverings, transportation, and all aspects of school reopening.

    The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) has also released StrongSchoolsNC: Public Health Toolkit (K-12) as a guide to school reopening to include social distancing measures, cloth face coverings for all K-12 students, mandatory remote learning options, and more. This document is available in both English and Spanish on the DHHS website.
