Welcome to Mrs. Mourer’s Digital Learning Literacy Class
Wow! Here we are rising to new challenges created by real word situations. This is exactly why we go to school! Everyone is learning right now, challenged right now, and finding their way through all these unexpected situations. Together we will learn how to do it and make our way to what is next.
I'M UP TO IT, how about you?
Okay, so how do we start. This is what we know so far.
* Contact: We need to have a "new normal". Email and video conferencing will be our next steps. Please make sure that your students who have access reach out and "connect" with their teacher. This is very important.
* Assignments: Even though they are optional at this time, it is a great way to establish routines and give studens a sense of normalcy. It will help us build the foundations of a digital learning environment if this situation continues. It will be VERY GOOD practice for them to be in the habbit of checking their email each day during the week. They also need to be checking thier GOOGLE CLASSROOM. Assignments are posted there as well.
* Questions: I know that we all have questions and we need to reach out and use these connections to regain a little control. Our 5th Grade Team has established working office hours for ANY and ALL questions you may have for your student. Email is the best way right now, as we are able to check it throughout the day.
However, to contact us by phone, please phone the school and use our extentions. LEAVE a detailed voicemail. We will receive it in our email system and contact you as soon as possible during office hours. The phone numbers and extentions are listed below:

Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Wanda Mourer
Welcome to my website. I am Wanda Mourer and I have been working at Pine Level Elementary for more than 20 years. I enjoy what I do and love preparing the next generation of students for middle school. I feel it is my job to not only prepare them for the rigors of academics, but also for the demands of growing up in middle school. I love to educate the whole child and it really pays off when I see them graduate from a successful elementary experience.
In my spare time I love to READ! My husband and I enjoy spending time with our children and their families. We love North Carolina and all the wonderful outdoor adventures we can have. We look forward to the next new experience. From the mountains to the beach, we are always excited to learn something new!
Our Class Schedule
We are pleased to inform you that the preschool classroom at Pine Level Elementary School has limited space available for enrollment in the Fee For Service Program for the 19-20 school year. The Fee For Service Preschool Program is designed to provide a high-quality early childhood experience...
At this time, all traditional high school graduations are still planned for May 29. Graduation ceremonies for Johnston County Early College Academy and Johnston County Career and Technical Leadership Academy will now take place on May 16th, rather than the original date of May 15th.
The Johnston County Board of Education will hold a budget work session on Tuesday, April 27. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and be held in the Evander Simpson Building in Smithfield.
