Hi-
My name is Kate Mundt. I have been teaching for 20 years. I started teaching first grade in Silver Spring, Maryland for 6 years before my family moved to Clayton, NC. We moved here in 2006 and I taught first grade for 7 years. I started teaching the Pre-K classroom in 2012. My husband's name in Joe and I have a daughter, Ava, who is 14 and a son, Henry, who is 8. Both of my children attended/attend Cooper Academy!

Targeted Support & Improvement
We are sharing information with our families about the Targeted Support & Improvement State Level guidance for schools who have underperformed on state-wide assessments during the past few years. Of course, last year we did not have End-of-Grade testing in North Carolina due to COVID-19 school closures.

JCPS Summer Hours
Johnston County Public Schools will be moving to summer office hours on June 13. School and district offices will operate on a four-day work week.ย Offices will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursdays. The summer schedule will continue until August 11. All offices will be closed on July 4.ย

2022 Summer Information Fair Dates Set
Johnston County Public Schools is always striving to provide students and families with exemplary service. In most cases, school bus transportation is essential for many students to access a quality education. In order to meet our daily goal, it is necessary to implement change that enhances and improves our overall operation. As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, JCPS Transportation Services and School Nutrition will be hosting a Summer Information Fair at each high school.
