My name is Mrs. Mellott, and I am a 4th grade teacher in the Dual Language program.  I have been an educator in Johnston County Schools for more than 14 years, and this will be my second year at Selma Elementary. I graduated from Meredith College with a bachelor’s degree in Public History and from East Carolina with a MLS (so I am an angel and a pirate!).

I live in Pine Level with my husband, my son, our two dogs and one very spoiled cat.  

I love to read, especially historical fiction and mysteries.  Reading has always been an escape for me, and I love talking about books and sharing my favorite stories with my students.
