    Welcome to Mrs. Gibson's Classroom!

    Lady with an apple

I am very excited to be your child's Science and Social Studies teacher this year.  Your child will have 3 EOG's this year:  ELA, Math and Science.  In Science and Social Studies, your child will take A LOT of notes.  To make this experience more engaging, we will create interactive notebooks.  This is a hands on task that children throroughly enjoy.  It teaches notebooking skills that they can use in middle school.  These notebooks will contain all of the material that your child will need to be studied and assessed.  This requires cutting and pasting daily in multiple subjects.  We will easily use two-three glue sticks a  month and several notebooks per subject area. Last year we ran out of supplies and struggled at the end of the year. This year we have modified our list to help alleviate that struggle. Thank you for taking advantage of the school days sales to help prepare your child for the upcoming school year.

    Supply List for 2019-2020

Two packs of 12-count colored pencils

Two packs of regular pencils (NO mechanical pencils)

    Six marbled composition notebooks

Two 3-prong plastic-coated folders with pockets

    Pencil pouch

    One pair of scissors
