Mrs. Ayana Meeks
Welcome to Mrs. Meeks counseling corner! I am so excited to serve the 6th and 7th graders here at Swift Creek! I have been in the Schoo Counseling field for 4 years but I have over 20 years of experience working in Human and Social Services, assiting and guiding youth of all ages. My family and I recently relocated here from California. Whew! What a big difference. Although it is different, one thing remains the same, which is my LOVE for students! I am so excited to be working with such an amazing staff. I also look forward to working with all of the wonderful families and students of Swift Creek.
As the 6th and 7th grade (M-Z) counselor my role as a school counselor is vital to our educational team. I help all students in the areas of academic achievement, career and social/emotional development, and ensuring that our students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow. I became a school counselor because I enjoy seeing others grow and acheive their goals. I absolutely love what I do and I can not wait to make lasting memories her at Swift Creek!

Attention parents of 4-year-olds: Are you interested in your child attending a free preschool program? The NC PreK program is designed to provide 4-year-old children with positive early learning experiences that support their development and prepare them for Kindergarten.
JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
