Mrs. Jessica Byrd

I am so excited to see you!

My name is Jessica Byrd, this is my 4th year at Dixon Road and in Johnston County schools as a teacher! This will be my 12th year teaching. I myself attended Johnston County Schools as a student. I graduated from West Johnston. I am married and have a four year old son and live around the Mcgee's area. I have taught third grade for most of my career, however I have taught reading intervention and first grade. I was an assistant teacher in kindergarten and first grade for several years while attending East Carolina University. Some interesting things about me are I have been skydiving, and I have auditioned for American Idol. I love butterfinger candy bars, mint chocolate chip ice cream, coffee, playing with my son, and learning new innovative ways to teach and make learning fun.

Please reach me in CLASS DOJO, if you're in my class this year, I have already added you and you are connected.

Let's have a great year!
