Mrs. Jessica Byrd
My name is Jessica Byrd, this is my first year at Dixon Road and in Johnston County schools as a teacher! I am back to the system as I was a teacher assistant in 2006-2008, and I myself attended Johnston County Schools as a student. I graduated from West Johnston. I am married and have two step-daughters and a one year old son. I have taught third grade for most of my career, however I have taught reading intervention and I was a teacher assistant in kindergarten and first grade for several years while attenting East Carolina University. Some interesting things about me are I have been skydiving, and I have auditioned for American Idol. I love butterfinger candy bars, mint chocolate chip ice cream, coffee, playing with my son, and learning new innovative ways to teach and make learning fun.
Let's have a great year!
