Mr. James Lashley
I grew up on the coast of North Carolina until attending college at East Carolina University. There I majored in Hispanic Studies Education and spent some time studying in public and private schools in Argentina. After graduating from ECU I moved to Johnston County and began my teaching career as a K-8 Spanish teacher at Meadow School. During this time I also earned my Master's in Education for English as Second Language. My third year of teaching I taught K-5 ESL and 6-8 Spanish. After that I transferred to Cooper, where I have been since, teaching K-5 English as a Second Language. I love learning, languages, traveling and experiencing other cultures.
I love to use my knowledge and skills to help and support students attain succes in all aspects of their academic careers, and instill in them the same love for learning that I, too, possess. I want to help them realize that they have value and their own unique qualities that give them the potential for greatness.
