Mr. Charles Hensey
Hi. My name is Charles Hensey and I am starting my third year as a teacher at Clayton High School. I have previously taught at South Johnston High School and East Wake. This will be my 18th year teaching in the North Carolina Public Schools. I have also worked at the Department of Public Instruction and the Center for Urban Affairs at North Carolina State. This year I am teaching Civics and American History II. In the past, I've taught Honors and Standard World History, Honors and Standard American I, Honors Psychology, AP European History, and AP Psychology.
I am a native of Raleigh who loves living in North Carolina. We enjoy going to the mountains for vacations and I grew up a fan of North Carolina State Athletics. I enjoy spending time with my twins, playing games, and watching great movies.
I will be using Canvas this year for all of my assignments, though you will be able to turn some in by hand depending on the activity.
To join my Remind class, send a text to 81010 and put in the message @henseyc

Thank you very much!
At their August meeting, the Johnston County Board of Education voted 4-3 to make face coverings required indoors in all Johnston County Public Schools campuses and on all buses for students, staff, and guests. This updated mask requirement is effective immediately.
The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.
