Mrs. Catherine Brown

Welcome to my page!

This is my second year at Smithfield-Selma High School. Go Spartans! I am excited to be here!

I teach Honors American History and Civics and Economics.

My History: I graduated from Guilford Technical Community College (AA), Western Carolina University (BS), and North Carolina State University (MA.) Then I worked for more that 10 years with the North Carolina Office of Archives and History before resigning from my position so that I could enjoy spending time with my kids while they were growing up. It has been my great pleasure to return to the work force as a teacher at Smithfield-Selma High School.

My Goal is to make my classroom a space where history is engaging and exciting.

The best way to contact me is through email.
