Mrs. Kelly Warholic

Welcome to my class!

My Name is Kelly Warholic. I am a second grade teacher at CHES. This is my first year with Johnston County, but my 15th year teaching. I spent 13 years in Nash County (where I live) and 1 year in Wilson County. I have taught kindergarten, 1st grade, second grade, and one year I taught all 3 at the same time!

I earned my degree in Elementary Education from NC Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount. I later went back to Gardner-Webb University and earned my Master's Degree in Administration. I hope to be an Assistant Principal and then a Principal one day in the near future!

I am married to a wonderful man named Pete. We have 2 amazing children, Austin and Haylee. Austin is 5 and Haylee is almost 3! When I am not in the classroom, I am busy doing mommy things. We live in Red Oak, which is about 45 minutes from CHES. It's a long drive to work, but worth every minute and mile to be somewhere as wonderful as this!

I am so excited to work with your children this year. I look forward to many more years with JCPS and CHES

  • Updated Social Distancing Procedures

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
