Miss Brooke Shives

Welcome to room 408! My name is Brooke Shives, and I am a 1st grade teacher at CHES. This will be my sixth year teaching and I am so excited! I grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland and moved to North Carolina in 2017 to teach here at CHES. I graduated from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania with a major in early childhood education. I love reading, iced coffee, watching movies, turtles, and spending time outside (the hotter outside the better!). First Grade is the BEST grade in my opinion and I can’t wait to have another fun filled school year.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
