Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Laura Rouse

Hello! I am excited about being a Kindergarten teacher at Princeton Elementary! This is my 31st year teaching and all but one have been in Kindergarten. It is my favorite grade. So much is learned and experienced this first year. It is a marvelous time of growth.

I went to UNC-CH for my undergrad degree and ECU for my Masters in Elementary Education. I was a teacher in Wayne County for many years but am very proud to call Johnston County and PES my home now. I am married to my husband, Scott, and we have three children. Our oldest, Ben, is married and lives in Garner. Our middle daughter, Hallie, is in her first year of Pharmacy school at UNC-CH and lives in Cary. And our youngest, Annsleigh, is 17 and a senior at Charles B Aycock in Pikeville. I also have a sweet puppy named Ellie who lives inside and a big lab, Bailey, who stays outside.

I enjoy going to the beach, or really anywhere, reading, baking when there is time, watching TV and hanging out with my kids.
