B.S. in Accounting MBA
Ms. Erica McFarland
Hello Selma family! My name is Erica McFarland and I teach 7th grade math here at Selma Middle. This is my 6th year teaching and 2nd year at Selma Middle. I am also the Head Coach for cheerleading! Last year, I coached for Football and Basketball seasons and chorographed the routine for the Selma Middle's Step Team (Showcase of Stars). Being able to work with the students during extracurriculum activities was a great experience. Before I came to Selma Middle in 2019, I taught at a private school in Wake County (2015), where I taught all middle school math, Algebra 1, Personal Finance and Career Development. Before I began teaching, I worked as an Accountant for 11 years for Fidelity Bank and State Employees' Credit Union. I earned my B.S. in Accounting in 2002 and my MBA in 2008. Afterwards, I opened my own fitness studio in Clayton. I enjoy teaching my Dance Fitt exercise class because I love music and I love to dance! It also gives me the opportunity to meet people and change lives. I have two children, a dog (Paul) and a cat (Clarence). I am excited about the 2020-2021 school year and many more to come!!!
