Ms. Rodriguez
¡Hola!
¡Bienvenidos a la Clase de Español!
I am thrilled to be working with Riverwood students once again! This is my second-year teaching here and can’t wait to start our Spanish journey together!
This year I’ll be teaching our dual language immersion program (Conexiones) and the Basic Spanish course. We also have a course that is for credits, so I am very excited about that!
For those who are meeting me for the first time, I am originally from Puerto Rico, a beautiful island in the Caribbean. I moved to North Carolina with my family in 2011 and I love it! I love the lakes, the mountains, the change of seasons... The only thing I am struggling with is the cold weather! I also enjoy music and arts, and spending time with friends and family.
One of my passions is to travel and learn about different cultures. I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit different countries like England, Spain, and Mexico among other places. These experiences have helped me have a better understanding of the world, the people, and of what a global citizen is, which is a concept that I reinforce in my classes.
Professionally speaking, I have a bachelor's and a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. I have experience in education (Montessori and traditional system), training & development, and human resources.
I am looking forward to have a great school year together!
