Mrs. Helga Bogardus

Hello Cooper Family!

My name is Helga Bogardus, your Music Enhancement Teacher.  I love teaching at Cooper because of the loving students and the family atmosphere!

I moved to North Carolina from New York State in 1996. I worked as a Director of Music Ministry for over 20 years in addition to part time teaching music in a private school.  I am thankful to be working in public education where I can grow even more as a professional music teacher.

I have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. I have a dog named ¨Dolce" which is the music word for sweet and she really is very sweet.  My happy place is sitting in the recliner with Dolce on my lap!

My greatest joy is sharing my passion for all things music, singing, playing instruments and dancing with the students at Cooper Academy!
