Hi Phantoms and welcome to Career and Technical Education!
I am Mrs. Jennings the Business and Technology teacher here at Benson Middle. I am a Harnett County native with roots in Dunn where I currently live with my husband, Justin and our daughter Anderson. I have a Hospitality Management with a Business Minor Degree from East Carolina University (GO PIRATES!!), as well as, a Baking & Pastry Arts Degree from Johnson & Wales University.
I started teaching six years ago when I came in lateral entry. This is my third year teaching at BMS! I am excited to teach your 6th, 7th and 8th graders. My courses will be keyboarding and Basic Word Processing for 6th grade and Computer Science Discoveries for 7th and 8th graders using Code.org. I am looking forward to teaching many of you again and for meeting the new faces. I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are ready to tackle the challenges this school year will bring. At a Special Session meeting on Oct. 27, the Johnston County Board of Education approved the following calendar changes: adding two wellness days and an optional teacher work day to the district’s November calendar.
At their August meeting, the Johnston County Board of Education voted 4-3 to make face coverings required indoors in all Johnston County Public Schools campuses and on all buses for students, staff, and guests. This updated mask requirement is effective immediately.
