Hi! My name is Deanna Blue! I am beginning my 20th year teaching! I have taught in Harnett and Johnston County Schools. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and now 6th grade! I live in Coats with my husband Brett, my son Brett, and my daughter BreAnna. I attended Appalachian State University from 1993-1997 and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering in the Children's Ministry at my church, and playing sports! I look forward to being your child's 5th or 6th grade Reading and Social Studies teacher this year!

JCPS Announcements

  • JCPS transitions to Plan B for all students

    The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return all Pre-K and EC-Self Contained students to Plan B, four days per week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19. These students will participate in face-to-face instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday serving as a remote learning day. All other students in grades K-12 will remain on Plan C until Monday, Feb. 1.

  • High School State Assessments Update

    On December 8th 2020, the Johnston County School Board of Education voted to return to Plan C (Remote Learning), we would like to provide an update to parents and guardians of options to complete state-mandated End-of-Course (EOC) and Career/Technical Education Post Assessment testing.

  • Second Semester Choice Form

    Every JCPS parent was to fill ou the Second Semester Choice form to choose either the Virtual Program OR face-to-face instruction for each of their students by Monday, Nov. 30. If you were unable to fill out the form by Nov. 30 please contact your child's school for assistance. The form was to be filled out for ALL students in grades PreK-12.
