Mr. Aaron Firebaugh
I graduated from NC State in 2004 and began teaching at Clayton High School the same year. I received my MSA degree and spent some years in school administration before returning home to CHS in 2019. I enjoy chemistry, physics, math, and spending time with my family! I am passionate about helping students think critically and discover science as inquiry.

Welcome to my classroom. I am excited for another great year, my 13th at CHS and 19th in education.
My classes will utilize Canvas for all graded assignments. Students do not need to sign up for Canvas, they are enrolled and can access the course through Classlink.
All students do need to bring a device to class daily. Devices can be checked out for the year from the media center, but must be requested using the link below that was also sent out via email.
The process this year is for students/parents to fill out the form. Devices will be delivered to homerooms in the first weeks of school in the order requests are received.

North Carolina schools are required to administer ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 to all students identified as English Learners (ELs) in the spring of each year to determine their progress in learning English. Each student is tested in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. This assessment helps us monitor their English language development.
