Welcome to 5th Grade!
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I am excited to join the Polenta family and the 5th grade team. I will be your child’s ELA (Reading and Writing) and Social Studies teacher. This is my 18th year of teaching and I grow to love it more each year! I love teaching for many reasons, but most of all I love learning and watching my students learn and grow!
It is an honor and a privilege to have been given the opportunity to partner with you in this exciting year of learning and growing! I look forward to a wonderful year and always welcome questions or concerns.
Johnston County Public Schools is in the business of providing a holistic educational experience that affirms and prepares our students for successful lives by teaching not only academic disciplines but how to treat one another. We are aware of recent social media posts and other unacceptable actions that have brought attention to racial and political insensitivity, which this school district does not condone.
