Degrees and Certifications:
Greetings! :) My name is Sonya Mulhollem and this is my 7th year teaching 2nd grade and I LOVE it! Here is a little bit about me...
I am a graduate from Clayton High School and Johnston Community College with my first degree in Medical Office Technology. I also graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) with a Concentration in Reading to teach K-12. Go Pirates! Aarrgh!
My son, Dylan, just graduated from Corinth Holders High School! He loves to wake surf, wake board, knee board, hunt, fish, ride his dirt bike and four-wheeler. He now works with my husband Dave. My daughter, Macy, is a rising 9th grader and she is a cheerleader and also loves spending time at the lake and wake surfing and ski-tubing. She used to be a competitive dancer at Carolina Dance Productions where she was on the clogging, tap, hip hop teams.
Not only are we busy with our children, we live on a farm and have lots of pets which include a house-trained miniature pig named Bubbles, a 3 miniature donkeys named Rose, Sophia, and her new baby Livi Grey, a yellow lab named Bella Trix, a mutt named Buddy Rowe, a squirrel named Zipper, a bunny named Thumper, a tabby kitty cat named Ollie Bleu, a gray kitty named Smokey Bandit, a horse named Gala, 6 goats named Bucky, Oreo, Cleatus Claude and Jethro. We just had two, goat kids born named Dilly and Dally! We also have 4 hens and two roosters named Bojangles and "K. F. See".
I am very active in my church where I am the choir director and play guitar in the praise band. Occasionally, I'll play my banjo for offertory. I also have a twin sister and a brother who I am very close to. She is also a 2nd grade teacher here at Corinth so don't be confused if you see her! I look forward to helping children succeed in all that they do!
