Mr. Puentes
I am Jorge Puentes and I come from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. I studied Visual Arts and Modern Languages at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and later I did my Master in Audiovisual Script Writing at the Universidad Internacional de la Rioja. I speak English, French and Italian and I love my profession as a teacher. My third year here at Selma represents one more achievement and I want to continue giving my best to show my students and colleagues how wonderful my culture is.
Mi nombre es Jorge Puentes y soy de Bogotá, la capital de Colombia. Estudié Artes Visuales y Lenguas Modernas en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana y posteriormente hice mi maestria en Escritura de Guiones audiovisuales en la Universidad Internacional de la Rioja. Hablo inglés, francés e italiano y me encanta mi profesión como maestro. Mi tercer año aca en Selma representa un logro más y quiero seguir dando lo mejor de mi para mostrar a mis estudiantes y compañeros, lo maravillosa que es mi cultura.

Pre-K - 5th Grade to return to Plan A on March 1
The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return Pre-K - 5th grade to Plan A, four days per week, beginning on Monday, March. 1.

JCPS transitions to Plan B for all students
The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return all Pre-K and EC-Self Contained students to Plan B, four days per week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19. These students will participate in face-to-face instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday serving as a remote learning day. All other students in grades K-12 will remain on Plan C until Monday, Feb. 1.
