Welcome to Ms. Smith's Kindergarten classroom. I am from Johnston County. I graduated from South Johnston High School and continued my education at Fayetteville State University where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Birth thru Kindergarten Education minoring in Sociology. I also attended Campbell University, completing several courses in the Special Education Program. I recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in November of 2020 with my Masters of Education K-6. I have previously worked as a Pre K Teacher, Resource Teacher and 2nd grade Teacher. This will be my first year here at West Smithfield and I am looking forward to a great 2022-2023 School Year!

Trades and Classified Job Fair 2023
Johnston County Public Schools will hold it's annual Trades & Classified Job Fair on Saturday, June 24. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Smithfield-Selma High School, 700 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy, Smithfield, NC 27577.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
