Mrs. Bridges

Have a great summer!!

Hey! My name is Denise Bridges and I was the SEL enhancement teacher for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders the first half of this year! If you aren't familar with SEL, it stands for Social and Emotional Learning. With everything that is going on, it is so important that our kids undertand and can manage their emotions. Beginning our second half of the year, I'm excited to announce that I am now teaching Science for the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders during their enhancement time.

A little bit about me...I graduated from Campbell University with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught for 5 years before having my children and then took on a new job, as a stay a home mom. I loved staying at home for so many years but I was thrilled to get back in the classroom last year at ECES as a Science/STEM teacher! I have an amazing husband and 2 wonderful children who have both been at East Clayton since they started Kindergarten. My daughter, Caroline, is now in 7th grade and my son, Jackson, is in 4th grade. They have both had amazing teachers while at ECES and I'm proud to be apart of the ECES family. Also, February 2019, I took over as East Clayton's PTA President. It has been a lot of work but I'm glad I get to help support our school in that way. We really do have the best kids, staff, and parents at our school!
