Ms. Anna Stanley

Welcome to Sixth Grade! We have an exciting school year ahead. I can’t wait to get to know you!

About Your Teacher:

I will be your child's 6th grade language arts teacher. My name is Anna Stanley I was born and raised here in Johnston County. I am a recent graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Middle Grades Education. My primary subject area is English Language Arts and I am also certified to teach Social Studies. I am very excited to be at Swift Creek Middle School. I am most eager about getting to know my students.

  • My Goals:

My primary goal this year is to have a positive relationship with each and everyone of my students. Additional goals include: Focusing on student learning, while helping ALL students grow and succeed this school year. In order to achieve my goals, I will work alongside my colleagues and with the parents of my students to help them achieve success. I am aware that success looks different for each and every person; this is why I strive to create relationships and get to know students on a personal and academic level. Once getting to know my students, I will encourage them to have a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. This means my students and I will be able to highlight upon opportunities to glow (to build upon and recognize their strengths) and opportunities to grow (recognize and  overcome their obstacles).
