Mr. Darian Stanton

 

My name is Darian Stanton. I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I recieved my bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education from Fayetteville State University. I am very excited to be teaching Summer School at Smithfield Middle School. I will be working as a substitute here at the school. I am finishing my second year here at Smithfield Middle School. I am proud to say that I started my career as a teacher here at Smithfield Middle! There is a wonderful set of students at Smithfield Middle school. I am honored to be able to have worked with them my first and second year at Smithfield Middle. I understand that we are living in unprecedented times. I want to be able to help each student to the best of my ability. I hope that every student has a wonderful Summer!.

  • JC Board of Education Special Session set for June 25

    The Johnston County Board of Education has called a Special Session meeting for Friday, June 25 at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually. The open session portions of the meeting and all announcements will be accessible to the public via the livestream available online.

  • Summer Meal Service begins June 7

    As the school year comes to a close, JCPS meal service will now operate at 9 sites during the summer months.

  • JCPS Outdoor Mask Mandate Lifted

    While face masks are still required in all of our indoor facilities, students, staff, and guests of our campuses are no longer required to wear a face covering when outdoors. Students and staff may continue to wear masks when participating in recess or outdoor activities if they choose to do so.

  • 2021-2022 JCPS Preschool applications now open

    The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.

  • Pre-K - 5th Grade to return to Plan A on March 1

    The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return Pre-K - 5th grade to Plan A, four days per week, beginning on Monday, March. 1.
