BM in Music Education- University of North Carolina at Pembroke

Mrs. Rachel Banda

Hi, my name is Ms. Banda! I am a 2019 graduate of UNC-Pembroke with a degree in Music Eduation. My main instrument is trumpet, and I also love to play steel drums. I started band in 6th grade, continued into high school and studied music in college. I participated in marching band, jazz band, concert band, percussion ensemble, and steel drum ensemble.

Enrichment classes are on the A/B day calendar. Each student will receive a copy and a copy will be posted in our google classroom. It is very important to use this calendar to know which enrichment class you will have each day so that you can plan to bring the proper materials to school.

Band students are expected to practice their instruments daily, and will receive specfic practice assignments for each day.

If there are ever any questions, please email me, rachelmccoy@johnston.k12.nc.us, or call and leave a message if I was unable to take your call.

I look forward to a great year!
