Mrs. Marjorie Harris

As we all enter into digital learning over the next few weeks, please know that I am here to help make this transition easier for you.  I will be available online in Google Classroom and checking my email from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm each day.  I will try to answer any questions that you may have at that time.  I will check email periodically throughout the day as well, so please feel free to email me anytime with questions.  I miss seeing my students each day and I hope that you all are staying safe.  Take care and I hope to see you all soon.

The link to the lesson plans is found here for Smithfield Middle School Learning @ Home Lessons.

Mrs. Harris grew up in Gainesville, Georgia.  She graduated from Georgia College & State University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Biology.  She went on to earn her teaching certification after moving to North Carolina.

Mrs. Harris has 18 years of experience as a teacher.  In that time, she has taught 6th and 7th grades Science and Social Studies.  Mrs. Harris is committed to her students and believes that a middle school education should not only include lessons in Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.  Students should grow each year to become more responsible, better leaders, and more organized.

  • COVID-19 Office Hours:  I will be online each day from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm to answer questions via email.  Please feel free to email me anytime with questions, but the response time may take a little longer if received outside of my office hours.
