JCS Policy Code 4120 states a students' absences may be excused for "the participation in a valid educational opportunity, such as travel or service  as a legislative or Governor's page, with prior approval from the Principal.  The excused absences shall be limited to five (5) school days per year, unless extended by the Principal upon a showing of extraordinary circumstances."   This form can be obtained by contacting the office or your child's teacher.
