Mrs. Hayward

This will be my 17th of teaching and my 4th year, here, at Riverwood Elementary.  I love what I do and desire to help students grow and learn as a whole child.  I feel that each child is a gift and has special talents and abilities that make them unique and special.  In our classroom there is a culture of acceptance and respect for everyone.  We work together as a team to help each other achieve our individual goals and to encourage each other to reach our highest potential.  I cannot wait to meet my 22-23 students and look forward to learning about you and your families.

A little bit about myself:  I moved to Clayton with my family 3 years ago, from Mebane, NC, where I worked at South Mebane Elementary.  I have a son in 9th grade at CHS, a sixth grader at RMS, and a 5th grader at RES.  We are a family that spends a lot of time on the soccer field and at the volleyball court, and we love quality time with neighbors and church families.  I love to spend time outdoors and enjoy running (when I have time.)

We are going to have a wonderful year!
